It is interesting that Mr Jacob was perceived to be the ‘progressive candidate’, but this really seems to not be the case. Before Mr Jacob was appointed to the planning-commission his organization Peace In Medicine [PIM] had procured and planned to open a 2nd location within Sebastopol. After some disagreements with the planning-commission regarding the transfer of this second Use-Permit, the organization abandoned their initial plan and opened at second location in Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa already has 3-4 existing dispensaries serving patient needs, what happened to the ‘Care’). With Mr Jacob on the planning commission, the then city council decided that it was in “Sebastopol’s” best interest to not allow a second medical cannabis facility and or cannabis-business’ (mainly due to research and documentation provided by PIM to both Sebastopol PD & local government offices regarding ‘rogue facilities operating in Sonoma County’).
