I ride the city bus every single day up and down Montgomery Ave. That road has been torn up two times in the past, is currently torn up, and the bus driver says it’s going to be torn up in a few years.

When the tear of Sonoma Ave they should MAKE SURE that EVERYTHING that needs to be fixed under that road is fixed at the same time as the water.

I just seems to me that it’s an incredible waste of money to rip up and repair a street over and over again. The pavement on Montgomery Drive has been so poor that it’s a wonder people’s teeth aren’t shattered everytime they drive over it.

And they really, really, believe that if they strengthen this one section of the pipe that with that 7-9 earthquake we will continue to get water, do they?

It is the old thought that we know what damage will happen when we have a major event and can can build things strong enough, or flexible enough to handle anything that can happen to the location.

Japan had BIG seawalls to protect against tsunamis and, of course, they were not big enough, and never will be big enough to stop the ultimate event!

But it does protect those people who can get up on the mountainsides!

Well, let us wish for the best, and prepare for the worst!
