Good questions Mariana!

Too many people differentiate between their friends and what their friends do and how they act. I’ve had a few “Hispanics” tell me that Lisa S was a “nice person,” which of course begs the question, do nice people really help put out “xenophobic and racist mailers”?

You will also notice, Mariana, that few Latino leaders spoke out against the mailer, mostly myself and Lisa Maldonado. I guess they didn’t want to make waves or upset their friend$. Not even Supervisor Carrillo, whose parents were once undocumented. Sad, all the way around.

Lisa Shaffner was the Executive Director of the Sonoma Business Alliance when their Political Action Commmittee did a xenophobic and racist mailer in the second district race. She never apologized for it and stood by the PAC. See below.

Why is our county giving taxpayer money to someone like this? And why is Oscar Chavez working with someone who could publish such as hateful and despicable anti- Latino mailer that basically targeted many of the people his organization is supposed to be working for?
