Laura Gonzalez posted on all of the PD articles about the vacancy that Council was going to choose Dippel because police recommended him. And she was also saying police broke the law by making a recommendation. She made herself look foolish over and over by spreading rumors. Good thing she doesn’t have a job in which she has to communicate accurate info. Oh, wait.

Every now and then the system works. She will serve her position well anf I pray the public will have a chance to see some of what she have done behind the scenes for a while now.

As the PD editorial said, it should have been Don Taylor. Planning Commissioner, Community Advisory Board Member, downtown business owner (the west side of downtown), Santa Rosa Sister City Committee President, and the list goes on. He’s also a westside resident, and would have brought me and all of us on the west side representation.

A shameful loss to a lady who serves on the BPU with Stephen Gale and Rick Meecham, the first of which has led the progressive charge within the Democratic Party and the 2nd who bankrolls attack ads in conjunction with Sonoma County’s biggest union.

Why bother with the time and expense of a campaign if you can just get your friends to appoint you?

Hasn’t run before. Is unknown outside of the City Council. Only qualifications are that they know she won’t make any waves, cause any ruckus, or interfere with the private agenda of the remaining council.

Oh, and comes from the east side of town, very important to keep the west side scum off the council.
