You won’t get anything but “Red” if you select someone trained by the American Planning Association. Take a look at this Webinar offered by them to their members. It trains them on how to take emphasis off of Agenda 21 and asks them to infiltrate local activist groups, yikes!

Is this position open to those who are not card carrying members of the red collective? Can we vote on the new members? No?

How about this? Give people the freedom and Liberty to enjoy their propety as they see fit. Let them persue personal goals without infringment of their rights from the government.

If the City wished to shove a pre-concieved Al Gore( or other) agenda up the backside of the citizens, they should do like the Soviet homeland and take the property and develop it themselves. At least be honest and try.

Planning Comissions should quit pretending land within it’s supposed jurisdiction is private property as outlined in the US constitution. What we have now is government controlled land that is paid for by worker slaves. What the government has done is bypassed the 5th amendment ‘take provisions’ with zoning laws.

The most incredible places are the result of freedom and creativity. Not government mandated collectivist dwellings that match the agenda of an elitist government zoning czar.

Try this: Name one amazing place in Sonoma County that was voted on by a planning comission?
I cant think of one. I can think of several that were built before any planning comission.

Our freedom to think and live individually is given by the creator and guaranteed by the contitution. It’s not for sale and it can’t be taken away… unless we allow it.

That’s my ‘vision of Sebastopol’
How’s that for a ‘general plan update’? How’s that for saving the hardworking taxpayer $.75Million in studies?

And what would be the minimum employment expertise requirement for a position on the “Planning” Commission ?

Architect? Civil Engineer? Construction Management? Licensed Land Surveyor?

Well, this is Sonoma County, so, er , uh, there actually is NO minimum skill or talent required…. so long as you are an, uh, “local.”

“Uh, we hire from within.” And Joe Schmo who has worked as a City custodian for the last 20 years fits the bill just fine, thank you.
