A story that ran on page B1 Saturday Nov. 24 about the robo-calls targeting Santa Rosa City Councilman Gary Wysocky misstated his service on a city committee. He does not serve on the council’s economic subcommittee.
Wysocky mentioned the committee by way of explanation for why he didn’t think it was necessary for Mayor Ernesto Olivares to form the Economic Competitiveness Task Force.

“I think it actually does make a difference and the public deserves to know who is generating those calls,” said Stephen Gale, head of the Sonoma County Democratic Party.”

Stephen Gale the chair of the local Democratic Party sets up phone banks in Democratic headquarters downtown each election and steers volunteers into these phone banks to bother us all night after night. Rarely do the calls identify who is calling. I have to ask.

Stephen Gale is and has been one of the regular anonymous posters here on Watch Sonoma County who joins with Lisa Maldonado on campaigns to badmouth candidates for office who are not “endorsed” by Gale’s Central Committee. So he’s a hypocrit when he calls for public disclosure while hiding behind the PD’s policy that allows him to smear his opponent’s anonymously.

Gale’s committee is so extreme and out of touch with Democrats that it did not endorse and worked against the two big winners in the Democratic Party this year: Jared Huffman and Marc Levine.

I know as a fact that Mr. Wysocky has gone door to door bad mouthing citizens that didn’t support his uncalled for “Bike Boulavard”. Calling those that spoke out about having their neighborhood reconfigured “trouble makers”.

Unfortuneatly politics is dirty business, it’s a good thing they hire the best mud slingers in Sonoma County.

I always thought the word blog sounded like something that required stain remover, but this story makes me want to take a shower.

Who else but the local police officers who were caught in the ILLEGAL mailers against Wysocky.

And its time for the Press Democrat to IDENTIFY those local police officers who were found to be in violation of law and fined for what they did in this last election.

I might add another interesting piece of news that you won’t find in today’s Press Democrat:

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the State of Illinois cannot prevent its citizens from audio recording police officers on the job.

The police, you see, were attempting to prevent themselves being recorded because they knew they would be caught in ILLEGAL acts, in corruption, and in misconduct. So the police in Illinois asked for and obtained a state law to try and prevent citizens from making recordings … but the U.S. Supreme Court just said the law was unenforceable.

The cops in the State of Illinois are now really nervous.

We have a similar problem in CA where you notice that the courts refuse to allow video cameras inside the court rooms for absolute fear that the public will be able to see just how error prone and UN-just the entire court process really is.
