Santa Rosa program to address 9 ballot measures

Voters interested in learning about nine state propositions on the Nov. 2 ballot are invited to attend a presentation Wednesday in Santa Rosa sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

The 7 p.m. session will include a discussion of the pros and cons of each proposition, ranging from the legalization of marijuana to congressional redistricting to a measure that would enable legislators to approve budgets by majority vote, rather than two-thirds.

The event will be held in the Santa Rosa City Council Chambers, 100 Santa Rosa Ave. The program will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

  1. The League of Women Voters is a valuable resource for any voter who seeks informed discussions about an upcoming election. Their forums and candidate debates are a democratic tradition worth celebrating; and what better way to celebrate this tradition than by attending one of their events: http://lwvsonoma.org/Forums.html . Thanks!

If you really want a biased view of the ballot measures be sure and attend this League of Liberal Women Voters meeting. This group will support the legalization of marijiuana, repeal the 2/3 vote to pass a budget and the list goes on. The have never met a liberal cause, candidate or proposition they didn’t like. They should keep their views to themselves but of course they can’t do that. They are smarter than the voters and they know what is best for us. They are wolves in sheeps clothing.
