Money, as Jesse Unruh once observed, is the mother’s milk of politics. Today we get to find out how deeply candidates are drinking. It’s the filing deadline for county and state candidates to submit campaign finance statements, which show how much they have raised between Jan. 1 and March 17. Below, you’ll find a snapshot of each race. Press Democrat reporter Bleys W. Rose will update the numbers in real time as each candidate files their disclosure.
Some candidates did not submit reports in person Monday, either because they intended to mail them before the 5 p.m. deadline or spend less than the legal threshold required to submit a campaign disclosure.

That amount of money for the judges races seems a bit high. Pretty surprising – or sad? – that they have to raise so much.
